Would you like to try and improve your dressage score or have a chance to practice a dressage test under more informal conditions?

Our dressage training days are a chance for you to ride a test in front of the judge, then have 20 minutes to work on and discuss your test before re-riding your test. These sessions are 30 minutes in total. You will receive your before and after scored test sheets. These are informal training days and so competition wear is not necessary. The tests for these days will be the same tests running prior to the competition date.

Entry fees

  • Liveries – £30.00 per class
  • Non-liveries – £35.00 per class

Prix Caprilli Dressage Competitions

The Prix Caprilli Dressage test provides an opportunity for the horse and rider to demonstrate elementary skills in dressage and jumping. It is understood that in the working gaits, a jumping horse is not expected to be as on the bit (round) as a competing dressage horse. The horse must softly accept the bit and may show more roundness in the parts of the test separate from the jumps. Trot work to be done rising. Transitions into and out of the halt may be through the walk. Test may be called. Refusals will be penalized as an error of course.

Knockdowns will be penalized at the judge’s discretion. On each date the following classes will run:

  1. Introductory Level Test: a walk and trot test with maximum height of fences low cross rails
  2. Training Level Test: walk, trot and canter with maximum height of fences 2’0
  3. First Level Test: Novice level dressage test with maximum height of fences 2’6 Dates: Saturday 7th April, Sunday 1st July, Sunday 21st October
